Our story
Built by music lovers, for music lovers.
Vinyl Record Vault started with something pretty simple - we love music, and we love having it on vinyl.
There’s something about buying a record that streaming just can’t replicate. Finding an album you’ve been looking for, seeing the artwork for the first time, taking the record out of the sleeve, putting it on the turntable and actually sitting down to listen to it.
That feeling is what got us into vinyl in the first place.
We also realised how difficult it could be to find certain records in India. You might know exactly what album you want, but finding the right pressing, edition or even getting hold of a particular title wasn’t always easy.
So we thought why not build the kind of record store we’d want to shop from ourselves? That’s how Vinyl Record Vault came about.
Today, we’ve built a catalogue of 80,000+ vinyl titles, from records you’ve known and loved for years to new releases, special editions and albums you might have never come across before.
Some are ready to ship. Some need to be sourced from overseas. And sometimes, someone asks us for a record we’ve never even heard of before, and then we go looking for it.
And honestly, that’s one of our favourite parts.
Meet Dhruv & Vedant
The two people behind the Vault.
We’re Dhruv and Vedant, brothers and the people behind Vinyl Record Vault. We’re not a huge corporate music company. We’re two people who decided to build something around something we genuinely enjoy.

Dhruv
I’m mainly involved in the brand, technology, digital side and the bigger picture behind Vinyl Record Vault. A lot of my time goes into figuring out how we can make the website better, make the catalogue easier to explore and, most importantly, make it easier for someone to actually find the record they’re looking for.

Vedant
I’m more involved in the day-to-day side of the Vault - the catalogue, sourcing, orders and making sure things actually happen once someone places an order. A big part of what I enjoy is the hunt for records that aren’t straightforward to find. There’s something satisfying about a customer asking for a particular album and being able to come back and say: “Yep. We found it.”
Why vinyl?
Because music deserves a little more attention.
We’re not against streaming - we use it too. But there’s something different about owning a record.
You don’t just press play and move on to the next song. You pick an album. You look at the artwork. You put the record on. You turn it over halfway through. Maybe you read the sleeve while you’re listening.
And sometimes, an album you’ve heard a hundred times suddenly feels completely different when you’re actually sitting there listening to it on vinyl.
That’s the feeling we’re trying to share.
Whether you already have a wall full of records or you’re buying your very first one, welcome to Vinyl Record Vault.
